Shorelife Festival Photography Competition
Capture the beauty of Ards and North Down's coastline and be part of the Shorelife Festival Photography Competition 2026.
We're inviting amateur photographers to share their best images inspired by the theme "Shorelife", showcasing the landscapes, wildlife, heritage, people and coastal experiences that make our shoreline so special.
Competition opens: 10 October 2026
Closing date: 5pm, Wednesday 18 November 2026
Entry is free and photographers may submit up to four images taken within Ards and North Down Borough on or after 1 January 2026.
Selected photographs will be exhibited by Ards and North Down Borough Council and festival partners, including Mount Stewart and WWT Castle Espie.
Key Information
- Open to amateur photographers only
- Maximum of four entries per person
- Images must reflect the theme "Shorelife"
- Photographs must be original and taken within Ards and North Down Borough
- Basic photo editing is permitted, but AI-generated and composite images are not eligible
- Under 16s must have parental or guardian consent
Photographers retain copyright of their images, while granting Ards and North Down Borough Council permission to use selected entries for exhibition and promotional purposes.
