Planning: new Planning IT System - FAQs and issues following its introduction on 5 December 2022

INTRODUCTION OF NEW PLANNING IT SYSTEM -  5th December 2022 (ongoing issues)

The new Planning IT System was launched on Monday 5th December. The NI Planning Portal can be accessed via this URL link:

https://planningregister.planningsystemni.gov.uk

The new NI Planning Portal was launched across 10 local authorities on 5th December 2022.

We are aware that there remain some issues accessing the system, especially for members of the public viewing certain kinds of uploaded documentation, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Efforts to resolve all these outstanding difficulties are ongoing.

Our office at Church Street, Newtownards is available for pre-booked duty planner appointments, open-file viewings, or registry viewings through a PC near the reception area. Please note that appointments (with the exception of registry viewings) must be made a minimum of 2 weeks in advance. To book an appointment please contact the office at planning@ardsandnorthdown.gov.uk or by phone on 028 9182 4006 --- between 9am and 3pm. A charge of £10 is payable for an open-file viewing.
