INTRODUCTION OF NEW PLANNING IT SYSTEM - 5th December 2022 (ongoing issues)
The new Planning IT System was launched on Monday 5th December. The NI Planning Portal can be accessed via this URL link:
The new NI Planning Portal was launched across 10 local authorities on 5th December 2022.
We are aware that there remain some issues accessing the system, especially for members of the public viewing certain kinds of uploaded documentation, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Efforts to resolve all these outstanding difficulties are ongoing.

SUBMITTING NEW APPLICATIONS ONLINE:
THE PUBLIC REGISTER - SEARCHING FOR APPLICATIONS ON NIPP
THE PUBLIC REGISTER --- TRACKING/VIEWING EXISTING APPLICATIONS:
Our office at Church Street, Newtownards is available for pre-booked duty planner appointments, open-file viewings, or registry viewings through a PC near the reception area. Please note that appointments (with the exception of registry viewings) must be made a minimum of 2 weeks in advance. To book an appointment please contact the office at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone on 028 9182 4006 --- between 9am and 3pm. A charge of £10 is payable for an open-file viewing.
Planning applications in Ards and North Down advertised and re-advertised this week, and all applications ye to be determined (updated each month).
The next monthly planning committee meeting will take place on Tuesday 4th April 2023. The Schedule is published. The deadline for the submission of speaking rights closes at 5pm on Tuesday 28th March.
Details of the Preferred Options Paper Consultation open from the 17th May to 9 August 2019 available here. --- Please note the LDP Timetable and the Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) were agreed on 17 July 2020. The agreed updated Timetable and SCI shall be advertised in the local press wb 30th August and wb 7th September 2020.
