Supporting Thriving High Streets

The Supporting Thriving High Streets Programme aims to revitalise and support our city and town centre high streets, with £1M+ of support available via new grant schemes.

Ards and North Down Borough Council is delighted to announce the launch of the Supporting Thriving High Streets Programme aimed at revitalising and supporting our city and town centre High Streets.

The funding of over £1million will help support thriving high streets by creating safer and more attractive streetscapes, boosting footfall and attracting new businesses.

The first strands of funding to be made available are the Glow Up Grant and Empty to Energised Grant

Businesses availing of either scheme will be encouraged to engage with the Council's business support service, which runs a range of free advice, support and training including the Go Succeed Programme - all aimed at supporting the sustainability of local businesses.

The Council will also be investing in several 'Support Local' marketing campaigns to help raise awareness of the fantastic offerings in the towns and city across the Borough and to shine a light on the improvement schemes delivered.
