Connecting Families

Connecting FamiliesFocusing on families of children with Special Educational Needs

Are your kids on devices all the time, do you want them involved in more creative and physical play?

Then this is for your family. Come along to our FREE event on

  • Wednesday 19 August | 10am - 12am
  • Donaghadee Community Centre, 12a Railway St, Donaghadee , BT21 0HG

This session will focus on our families with children who have Special Educational Needs. These needs include behavioural conditions such as ASD, ADHD, Autism, Aspergers, and other sensory conditions.

To ensure children with this wide range of needs are prioritised, it is important for us to ask you about your child(rens)'s needs at registration point. Please outline your child's needs with their name and age details.

Activities will be focussed on the sensory, are easily transferable to the home and enjoyable in any family setting - whether it is in the home, garden, park or the street.

It is designed for family units to play together and give parents some new or refresh play ideas.

Come and play with your children, get some new ideas to get your family playing together at home, in the garden, in the park.

Activities are designed for children aged 4 -14 years: babies and toddlers are, of course, welcome but activities are not designed for them. Please register all your children, regardless of age, who will be attending.

Parents are responsible for their own family supervision and should NOT leave the premises at any time.

You must register in advance for your family to attend.  PLEASE REGISTER HERE
