Community Summer Schemes 2025
Ards and North Down Summer Schemes will return this summer with a new location at Comber Leisure Centre.
Age Groups
- Junior age group: 5-7 year olds
- Senior age group: 8-11 year olds
Eligibility
- Open to Primary School age children who are 5 years old by 30th June 2025 and have completed Primary 1.
- Registration must be completed by the child's Parent or Guardian or someone with Parental Responsibility.

Monday 21 July to Friday 1 August, 10am to 3pm
- Redburn Community Centre, Holywood
- Donaghadee Community Centre, Donaghadee
- West Winds Primary School, Newtownards
- Bowtown - Movilla Abbey Church Halls, Newtownards
Monday 4 August to Friday 15 August, 10am to 3pm
- Alderman George Green Community Centre, Bangor
- Portavogie Community Centre, Portavogie
- Ballygowan Village Hall, Ballygowan
- Comber Leisure Centre, Comber
Registration
This is a two-step process:
STEP 1
- Online Registration opens at 9am on Tuesday 20 May 2025 for the first set of dates and Thursday 22 May 2025 for the second set.
STEP 2
- Verification sessions will be held, IN PERSON, on the same day (20 May or 22 May) at your chosen summer scheme location, following online registration. You will have already indicated which session you will attend, either 3-5pm or 6-8pm.
YOUR CHILD'S PLACE WILL BE CONFIRMED ONLY AFTER YOU COMPLETE BOTH STEPS
- Cost per child for one week: £25 including booking fee
- Concession per child for one week: £12.50 including booking fee (available to those in receipt of Free School Meals)
Required Documents
- Proof of date of birth (e.g., birth certificate, passport)
- Proof of residence in the Borough (e.g., utility bill of parent/guardian with same address as child)
- Letter confirming take up of free school meals (if applicable)
- A completed Medical Declaration for each child, provided on site.
Additional Information
- If unable to attend due to exceptional circumstances, you can visit the Community Development offices at Signal Centre, Bangor on Wednesday 28 May and Thursday 29 May 2025, 10am - 6pm.
- Failure to present documents by this date will result in reallocation of the place.
Important Notes
- Unfortunately, one-to-one support and intimate care (including toileting) cannot be provided.
- Reasonable adjustments can be discussed during verification sessions but are not guaranteed.
