Helen's Bay Station Square Environmental Improvement Scheme

Helen's Bay Station Square is a small courtyard area which comprises a mix of commercial and residential buildings adjacent to Helen's Bay  Station and is a central hub for the local community. It is a busy area used by people to access local shops and services as well as passengers using the train station.

AECOM have been appointed to consider design options for an Environmental Improvement Scheme which will identify how the full regeneration potential of the area can be realised as part of the long term vision. The draft design includes new paving, planters, formalising the existing parking arrangements, planting, cycle stands, informal crossings, and improved car parking.   

A public engagement session is being held as follows:

Thursday 2nd October | 4pm to 8pm | Crawfordsburn Primary School, 4 Cootehall Road, Crawfordsburn

Please come along and see the draft designs for the project and chat to the design team and Council Officers.

Comments can be submitted in writing to regeneration@ardsandnorthdown.gov.uk 

Deadline for Comments: All comments must be received by Thursday 16th October 2025
