Reusable Nappy £50 Voucher Scheme

Disposable nappies cannot be recycled and according to studies completed by the Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP), by the time one baby is potty trained a baby could use between 4,000 to 6,000 disposable nappies. Swapping to reusable cloth nappies can have a significant positive environmental impact in terms of reducing the amount of waste that is placed in the grey bin and ultimately sent for disposal.

Ards and North Down Borough Council is pleased to support local families through our Reusable Nappy Voucher Scheme, helping residents make a more environmentally friendly and cost-effective choice.

Residents living in the Ards and North Down Borough council area can apply for a £50 voucher to use towards reusable nappies with The Nappy Lady.

Reusable nappies are a great alternative to single-use nappies. They can help reduce household waste, save money over time, and are better for the environment.

What's included?

The voucher can be used on essential reusable nappy items such as nappies, wraps and liners to name a few.

Who can apply?

You can apply if you:

• Live within the Ards and North Down Borough Council area boundary
• Are expecting a baby or have a young child in nappies (up to 18 months)

Once your application is approved:

1. You will receive your £50 voucher

Terms and Conditions

1. The child must be a permanent resident within the Ards and North Down Borough Council boundary.
2. You can apply for the voucher if you are expecting a baby or if your child is under the age of 18 months.
3. Only one voucher application per household.
4. Vouchers will be allocated until the Reusable Nappy budget has been exhausted.
5. Proof of eligibility may be requested.
6. Your delivery address must be the same as the address that you have applied under the scheme with, no exceptions. Delivery address is manually checked at time of processing your order.
7. The scheme is subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time.
