Comber Earlies Food Festival Invites Visitors to Support Local Businesses with 'Comber Earlies Passport'

Comber is getting ready for the popular Comber Earlies Food Festival on Saturday 20 June and Ards and North Down Borough Council is encouraging everyone to grab a 'Comber Earlies Passport' to make the most of their visit and support local business.
A fantastic 10 local traders have special activities and giveaways planned throughout the day for visitors to Comber. Comber Earlies Food Festival Passports will operate during the event and will guide visitors to participating businesses offering fun experiences and exclusive treats.
Passports can be collected from 11am on Saturday (20 June) from the Visitor Information Caravan (opposite the Leisure Centre entrance within the event site), as well as from participating retailers.
From foodie shops to art, health and more, all participating retailers will have activities or giveaways for those who visit their shops. Visitors can pick up free sweet treats, colouring packs, enjoy potato-themed activities and more - and don't forget to get your Passport stamped along the way.
The Mayor of Ards and North Down, Councillor Craig Blaney, said:
"The Comber Earlies Food Festival is always a popular event and attracts thousands of visitors to the town. It promises to be a great weekend for everyone, with the Passport adding an additional exciting element while also helping to support our local traders and boost the local economy."
Visitors are encouraged to leave the car at home and make use of the free shuttle bus service operating throughout the day on a first come, first served basis. Routes include:
• Bangor - Newtownards - Comber
• Dunlady Park & Ride, Dundonald - Comber
• Downpatrick - Crossgar - Saintfield - Ballygowan - Comber
The Comber Earlies Food Festival is the headline event in the Taste Summer in Ards and North Down programme (Wednesday 17 June - Sunday 28 June 2026), featuring authentic food and drink experiences in unique venues with local food heroes.
As part of Taste Summer in Ards and North Down, local providers are hosting a variety of fabulous foodie activities across the Borough to celebrate the very best of local food and drink.
