Ards and North Down Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP) is taking action to improve road safety for children by issuing new No Parking signs to Ballymagee Primary School in Bangor.

The initiative aims to tackle dangerous parking practices such as stopping on zig-zag lines or blocking driveways near schools. Parents and guardians are being encouraged to park further away and walk if necessary to ensure the safety of all pupils.

PCSP Chair, Councillor Pete Wray emphasised the importance of this measure:
"Child safety is our top priority. These signs are a clear reminder that parking responsibly around schools is essential. By working together, we can create a safer environment for every child."
