Shorelife Celebration Returns to the Stunning WWT Castle Espie and National Trust Mount Stewart

Immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of our shoreline at the Shorelife Celebration on Saturday 4 October. Visit the stunning WWT Castle Espie and National Trust Mount Stewart where you can enjoy free entry to both venues for the day, offering a perfect day out for families and nature enthusiasts.
This year's event builds on the success of last year's inaugural Shorelife Celebration and will again offer the chance to experience the wonders of our shoreline. Brought to you by Ards and North Down Borough Council in partnership with WWT Castle Espie and National Trust Mount Stewart, everyone can enjoy a day filled with fun activities, engaging talks and tours, live music, and delicious local food and drink. Plus, take advantage of the free ticketed bus service for easy access!
With 115 miles of stunning coastline, Ards and North Down is the perfect place to celebrate our shore. Kids and families will love the interactive games and activities that have been planned in conjunction with the NI Science Festival, while guided tours and talks will provide fascinating insights into local wildlife and conservation efforts.
The Mayor of Ards and North Down, Councillor Gillian McCollum, said:
"The Shorelife Celebration showcases the vibrant coastal culture and marine biodiversity of the area and we are delighted to partner with Mount Stewart and Castle Espie again this year. With free access to both venues, the event offers a diverse programme that includes informative talks by experts in their field, engaging children's activities plus a variety of food stalls serving local delicacies and live musical performances. It will be a fabulous day out for all the family!"
