Bangor Marine Statement: Queen's Parade regeneration project gathers momentum

Bangor Marine Ltd, the company driving the regeneration of Queen's Parade in the city, has announced they will be advancing works on site from the last week in August. Contractors will initially be installing security fencing at the McKee Clock Arena to facilitate work on the new events space, a significant milestone in delivering the first phase of the overall project.
Bangor Marine Ltd will take possession of the remainder of the Marine Gardens site on 5th September. At this point the Queen's Parade car park will close to the public. This date will be further communicated to users of the car park in advance of the closure.
A spokesperson for Bangor Marine Ltd. confirmed that the Bangor public will begin to see substantial progress on site from Thursday 28th August.
"We are now seeing the start of the rollout of this transformative project, which will put Bangor on the road to long-term and sustainable economic regeneration. We are pleased to be able to put the delays of the past behind us and move forward to recreate Marine Gardens and regenerate Queen's Parade.
"Bangor Marine Ltd is fully committed to ensuring Bangor reaches its full potential with a development that returns the city to its status as a premier coastal destination for residents and visitors. We are delighted to be making meaningful progress on the ground."
