BANGOR CYCLE PARK
Located at Bangor Sportsplex
The project aims to create pathways for increased levels of cross-community interaction via six separate cycling facilities, including
- a pump-track
- a BMX racing track
- an inclusive-Cycling-Area
- an Accessible Learn-To-Ride area
- cross country (XC) trails
- a jump park
The Cycle Park also benefits from a community café/workshop, providing a shared, neutral social space that encourages informal interaction between users of different ages, backgrounds, and communities and creates a flexible space that can be used for educational sessions.
A public information session about the Bangor Cycle Park project was held on Tuesday 24 June 2025 at Bangor Sportsplex. This provided residents with an opportunity to view project plans, ask questions, and engage with the project teams.
