Ards and North Down Youth Voice

Young People aged 15-21 years who live in  Ards and North Down are eligible to be part of the Youth Voice AND.

This 2-year programme is managed by Ards and North Down Borough Council, working in Partnership with the PCSP and the Education Authority Youth Service, along with other statutory bodies.

About Youth Voice AND

Youth Voice AND provides young people the opportunity to:

• Engage with key decision makers
• Have their say on local issues
• Meet new friends
• Be a representative voice for young people in their area. 
• Be involved and pro-actively engaged with local decision making processes

Youth Voice AND meets on a weekly basis to identify and take forward common issues relating to young people in the local area, as well as offering opportunities for residentials and participation in study visits to the UK or Ireland.

Youth Voice AND Project: Gen2Gen Podcast - Building Intergenerational Relationships

A recent project, Gen2Gen is an engaging intergenerational podcast created by young people from Youth Voice Ards and North Down in collaboration with Ards and North Down's Over 50s Council and the U3A group.

Across eight episodes, older and younger members come together to reflect on life—then and now—exploring the changes, challenges, and common threads that connect generations.

Expect laughter, eye-opening insights, and a fresh perspective on how teenage experiences have evolved (or stayed surprisingly the same!). We hope you enjoy listening as much as  the participants loved creating it!

Who can take part in Youth Voice AND?

Everyone is invited to apply regardless of background, abilities or interests.

Youth Voice AND welcomes representatives from right across the geographical spread and underrepresented groups to ensure the diverse needs of young people in the area are heard.
