Bangor Beats and Rhythms: Celebrating the Spirit of the Fleadh

As excitement builds for Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann in Belfast, Bangor is set to strike the first note with Bangor Beats and Rhythms on Saturday 1 August, from 1pm to 9pm. The event forms part of the wider Bangor Vibes programme, a weekend-long celebration of music and performance taking place across the city from 1 to 2 August. 

Located just minutes from Belfast, Bangor offers the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the sights, sounds and spirit of Fleadh season before the main event begins. 

The Bangor Beats and Rhythms programme will feature live music performances from Ards CCÉ (Ards Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann), high-energy Irish dance from the Lauren Smyth Academy of Dance, traditional and contemporary songs, interactive set dancing sessions led by Oisín McCann, and a lively grand finale with The Hoolie Hootenanny. 

A vibrant festival atmosphere will be felt throughout the city centre, where visitors can enjoy outstanding local talent, soak up the buzz in Bangor's bars, cafés and restaurants, and explore the city's stunning coastal setting. Together, these experiences will capture the excitement of a region preparing to welcome thousands of music lovers for Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann.
