We are running a Participatory Budgeting pilot called #MyvoiceMyAND. This is an opportunity for people in Ards and North Down to come together and decide how to spend £14,000 of public money that has been provided via Ards and North Down Borough Council’s Recycling Community Investment Fund. It pays to recycle!

Bids must be submitted by a group or organisation that serves the community. Online registration of ‘project bids’ open on 1 September and submissions must be received by 30 September.

A #myvoicemyAND public vote will take place between 8-22 November, with a public showcase event of the potential projects being held on 16 November, to allow communities across Ards and North Down to select their favourite project bids.

The projects with the most public votes will be awarded funding to make it happen and all funding will be distributed before 30 March 2020.

Find out more about Participatory Budgeting, including who can apply, the funding amounts available and how your project should contribute to the outcomes for The Big Plan for Ards and North Down by downloading the Guidance Notes below.
