Collecting the evidence
The Big Conversation
To help understand what is important to the people who live in Ards and North Down we started a Big Conversation to encourage individuals, communities and other stakeholders to engage with us and tell us about the issues they want addressed. We met with groups and individuals, ran postcard campaigns, launched an animation to explain community planning and carried out an online survey. We also consulted with groups and individuals on a draft version of the plan and this feedback has been incorporated into the Big Plan for Ards and North Down.
Statistical Analysis
Throughout the community planning process, we have collated and identified a wide range of evidence to help assess the issues that are most relevant to the people of Ards and North Down.
We have gathered information from community planning partners, Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA), central government departments and other stakeholder organisations.
The key statistics will help us to monitor the impact of the Big Plan and show us if the actions we implement are positively influencing the lifestyles of people in Ards and North Down.
