Borough Magazine Spring/Summer 2023

Welcome to the Spring edition of the Borough Magazine, which provides an update on the Council’s activities over the past few months and information about future developments. As we look forward to brighter days and longer evenings, we are eagerly anticipating an exciting year ahead for Ards and North Down. 

We continue to make Ards and North Down a great place to live, work, visit and invest and are delighted to have made progress with our ambitious plans for the regeneration of the City of Bangor with positive steps forward for both the Waterfront and Queen’s Parade redevelopment.

We have been working hard on the economic and environmental challenges around waste management which will require a fundamental change in our actions in order to recycle more. In this edition, we have outlined some of the ways that we can all take small steps to make big changes.

Throughout the magazine we have placed a focus on our local food produce and producers, beautiful parks, gardens and countryside and the cultural offering that our Borough has to offer. With all of this in mind we encourage you to ‘Keep It Local’ and help support local jobs, businesses, and communities across the Borough this Spring.
