Portaferry Recycling Centre

Household Recycling Centres across Ards and North Down are now closed until further notice. The closures are to allow staff and other critical resources to be diverted elsewhere, to prevent members of the public from making unnecessary journeys per Government advice and to ensure social distancing measures are observed.

If you are spring cleaning or clearing out your house or garage, then separate, store securely and keep material dry.  Be patient, as it may be some time before household recycling centres reopen. Green garden waste can be composted at home, if you have space, alternatively, cut your grass and hedges as infrequently as possible.

Please note that from March 2019 walk-ins are NOT permitted at any of the HRCs with the exception of Holywood HRC (via separate pedestrian access gate). This is for health and safety reasons. Thank you for your understanding.
