Nominate local Sporting Stars for an Ards and North Down Sports Award
Ards and North Down Borough Council is excited to announce the opening of nominations for the 2021 Ards and North Down Sports Awards
Nominations are open from Friday 3 December 2021 and will close on Friday 7 January 2022 at 4pm.
The aim of the Awards is to recognise, promote and reward local sporting achievements of teams and individuals across the Borough. Schools, Sports Clubs, and members of the public are encouraged to nominate their sporting stars from this year.
Whether it’s someone you admire for their passion in sport, or someone who has inspired you, instilled great confidence in you or your child, or perhaps given up a lot of their free time to help in a Sports Club - there are so many reasons why you can nominate that sporting star, that person who has made an impact on you.
Nominating an individual will let them know just how much their contribution and achievements are appreciated and recognised.
The nomination categories are:
- Sports Person of the Year Sponsored by Charles Hurst Renault
- Sports Person of the Year U18 Sponsored by Prestige Trophies
- Sports Person of the Year U15 Sponsored by Danske Bank
- Sports Team of the Year Sponsored by Ards and North Down Sports Forum
- U18 Junior Sports Team of the Year Sponsored by Belvoir Lettings
- U15 Junior Sports Team of the Year Sponsored by Dynes Residential
- Sports Coach of the Year Sponsored by Quarry Plant Sales
- Volunteer of the Year Sponsored by Truesdale Heating and Plumbing
- Lifetime Service Recognition Sponsored by the Mayor of Ards and North Down
- Wall of Fame Inductee sponsored by Ards and North Down Sports Forum
