Next Generation Exhibition Celebrates Students’ Talents
An exhibition of the finest work being created by talented GCSE and A-Level art students from the Ards and North Down Borough has just opened at Ards Arts Centre in Newtownards.

The Next Generation art exhibition which is hosted by Ards and North Down Borough Council, will showcase the work of GCSE and A level pupils from five schools in the borough: Bangor Academy and Sixth Form College, Regent House, Glastry College, Bangor Grammar and Movilla High School.
In the run-up to the Creative Peninsula in August, the exhibition celebrates the wealth of creativity being produced by local students. Recognisable for exuberant talent and vivacious, raw, uncompromising work, the exhibition is an exciting annual event and introduces visitors to the next generation of artists in the local area.
Speaking about Next Generation, Amy McKelvey, Community Arts Development Officer said: “One of the highlights of our annual programme, this exhibition is always very popular and interesting. It is also a brilliant opportunity for our young artists of the future to see their work in a public gallery space.”
The exhibition opened at Ards Arts Centre, Newtownards on Thursday, 6 July, and runs until Friday 21 July. Admission is free. For more information visit: Next Generation Exhibition | AND Culture
