Hundreds Attend Ards and North Down Job Fair
This year’s Ards and North Down Job Fair reverted to its original format at Ards Blair Mayne Wellbeing and Leisure Complex.

After going ‘virtual’ during the pandemic, it returned to Newtownards on 24 January where over 200 jobseekers had the opportunity to speak with employers who were recruiting for more than 300 jobs.
Hosted by Ards and North Down Borough Council and supported by the Department for Communities (DfC), the Fair offered an opportunity to meet employers who were offering jobs in a variety of sectors including manufacturing, hospitality, finance, catering and retail.
One-on-one support was offered, together with advice on finding a job, from local support agencies such as the Department for the Economy Careers Service, DfC Jobs Search Services and specialist disability organisations, while the Local Enterprise Agencies offered advice on setting up a business.
