Easter Message from the Mayor

Thursday 1st April 2021

As we approach Easter weekend which is traditionally a time for friends and families to get together, can I ask you all to please, stay local, stay apart and stay safe.

This is a critical time in our efforts to combat COVID-19, we all must play our part to save lives and protect the NHS and front-line workers.

Please don’t be tempted to travel to beauty spots, there will be plenty of time for travelling when this is all behind us. I would also ask parents to please ensure you know where your children are at all times.

It is a difficult time to be separated from loved ones, but everyone must obey the rules to slow down the spread of the virus.

Wishing you all a safe and peaceful Easter.

Mayor of Ards and North Down, Councillor Trevor Cummings
