​Remembrance in Ards and North Down

Details of arrangements for Remembrance Day Services on Sunday, 3 November 2019 (Groomsport) and Sunday, 10 November 2019 are below.
Ballywalter
An Act of Remembrance will take place at the War Memorial at 10.50am. This will be followed by a Church Service at Ballywalter 1st Presbyterian at 11.15am. The Parade and march past will take place at approximately 12.05pm, Lord Dunleath, Deputy Lieutenant will be taking the salute.
Bangor
Wreath laying ceremony and Service of Remembrance will take place at Ward Park War Memorial at10.40am. After the service, the parade will march through the town to the Royal British Legion Social Club.
Comber
A wreath laying ceremony will take place at the War Memorial in The Square at 10.00am.. This will be followed by a Service in 2nd Comber Presbyterian Church, Killinchy Street at 11.30am.
Craigavad Helen’s Bay
A service of remembrance will be held at Holy Trinity Church, Seahill, Craigavad at 11.00am.
Donaghadee
The Parade will leave the car park in Shore Street at 10.40am and proceed to the War Memorial where a wreath laying ceremony will take place. The parade will then proceed to 1st Presbyterian Church, High Street, Donaghadee.
Groomsport
The Groomsport Remembrance Day Service will be held on Sunday, 3 November 2019 at 2.45pm at the War Memorial, Main Street.
Holywood
A Service of Remembrance will take place at the Cenotaph at 10.30am. Following this, the Parade will proceed to St Phillip and St James Parish Church, Church Road, Holywood for the 11.30am Service.
Millisle
Parade from the Royal British Legion to the War Memorial for a short Act of Remembrance at 11.00am. The parade will then proceed to the Millisle and Ballycopeland Presbyterian Church, for the Service at 11.30am.
Newtownards
There will be a wreath laying ceremony at 10.10am at the Cenotaph, Court Square. The Royal British Legion will parade to 1st Newtownards Presbyterian Church, Frances Street, Newtownards for the Remembrance Service which commences at 11.30am. After the Church Service the parade will march back to the Royal British Legion.
Portavogie
A service of remembrance will be held at Portavogie War Memorial, Harbour Road, Portavogie at 9am.
