A proud achievement
Staff from the Council's Parks and Cemeteries section have won 'Council Gardens – Best of Northern Ireland' at this year's Garden Show Ireland event at Antrim Castle Gardens that took place between 4 – 6 May. The team's garden termed "Tern 'O' The Tide" intends to take visitors on a tour across one of the longest coastlines within a local council area. The strong coastal focus covered planting themes from the various areas within the borough and on promoting a number of upcoming events to include Sea Bangor Festival, Comber Earlies Festival and Sea Food Festival.
One of the key features of the team's garden was the large floral starfish. Coverage of the team's garden has been aptly named #StarOfTheShow across our social media pages.
