Expression of Interest: Rural Experience Development

Ards and North Down Borough Council have been successful in securing funding under the DAERA Rural Tourism Collaborative Experiences Programme and are seeking expressions of interests from businesses based in the Ards and North Down region, to become members of a Rural Cluster. The theme of the cluster is to develop experiences based around land, sea and well-being.

The purpose of the cluster will be to work collaboratively to create high quality visitor experiences within a rural the geographical area, building potential economic, social and environmental benefits for the wider destination.

The geographical area is shown in the pdf map (Download pdf map)

Experiences should be saleable and showcase the uniqueness of the borough to visitors.

All experiences developed should meet the criteria of Tourism NI's Embrace a Giant Spirit model.  Further information and examples of current Embrace a Giant Spirit experiences are available via the link below.
