Condolence Message - Her Majesty The Queen
On behalf of Ards and North Down Borough Council, the Mayor of Ards and North Down, Councillor Karen Douglas has expressed her deep sympathy and condolences following the passing of Her Majesty The Queen.
“It was with profound sadness that Ards and North Down Borough Council learnt of the death of Her Majesty The Queen.
The Queen has been a symbol of grace, dignity, and elegance, while at the same time a symbol of strength, courage, and dedication to her country.”
"I would like to express my sympathy to His Majesty The King and all the members of the Royal Family."
The appropriate flags will fly at half-mast until further notice throughout the Borough.
Books of condolence will open and be available for the public to sign at the Town Hall, Bangor and the Town Hall/ Arts Centre, Newtownards from Friday 9 September. Opening hours for signing the Book of Condolence will be 10.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday. The Town Hall Bangor and Town Hall/Ards Arts Centre, Newtownards will also be open on Saturday 17 September from 10am to 2pm.

The Books of Condolence will be available to sign on Tuesday 20 September, before they are closed at 5pm.
Floral tributes can be left at the flagpole in Castle Park, Bangor and the flagpole in Conway Square, Newtownards.
