We invite you all to #ComeTogetherThisChristmas in Ards and North Down!

Christmas 2021 is shaping up to be more of what we are all used to and what we all enjoy than was possible in 2020....and that gives us all something to celebrate.  This year brings the opportunity to get out and about once again. To meet up with friends and family, to support local hospitality and to do seasonal shopping in person (spending local of course!)

However you celebrate, we want to wish everyone across the borough a wonderful festive season.

We are delighted to welcome back a packed Christmas events programme. From arts and crafts demonstrations, Christmas markets and festive music to the simple beauty of the Christmas lights in our towns and villages, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

The Christmas festivities in Ards and North Down kick off with community-led Christmas markets, entertainment and Light Switch Ons:

  • Bangor on Saturday 20 November: 9am - 9pm (Switch On at 6pm.  PLEASE NOTE NEW TREE LOCATION at Danske Bank in the town centre)
  • Newtownards on Saturday 27 November :10am - 6pm (Switch On at 5pm)

Additional town and village switch on dates and a full event list can be found on our Visit website at Christmas in Ards and North Down - Ards & North Down (visitardsandnorthdown.com)

A special Borough Magazine has been published and should have arrived through your door.  An online version with additional content is available at Borough Magazine Winter 2021 (dashdigital.com)
