On 23rd June 2016 the UK voted to leave the European Union after 43 years of membership.

With a vote of 52% for Brexit, the UK is scheduled to leave the EU on 31st October 2019. While there remains uncertainty over what this may mean for local residents, it is certain that Brexit will have a direct impact throughout the Borough.
