What you can recycle

Garden waste, wood and timber, scrap metal, fridges and freezers, large appliances, small appliances, TVs and monitors, portable batteries, car batteries, used engine oil, cooking oil, fluorescent tubes, paint, paint reuse, mixed glass bottles and jars, plastic bottles, mixed paper, food and drink cans, ink cartridges, textiles, books, gas bottles, reuse container, plasterboard, rubble, carpet, mattresses and cardboard.

From 15 January 2018 householders will be required to have an access permit to use the Borough's household recycling centres (HRCs) in a van or large trailer (larger than single axle).  Full details here

The last site user is admitted ten minutes before closing time.

Recycling centres are closed on public holidays. Opening times may also vary during other holiday periods. Please check holiday arrangements before setting out.
